The Impact of Environmental Regulations and Social Norms on Farmers’ Chemical Fertilizer Reduction Behaviors: An Investigation of Citrus Farmers in Southern China

This study investigates how environmental regulations and social norms affect farmers’ chemical fertilizer reduction behaviors (CFRBs) the mediating role played by moderating networks. As analysis tool, a structural equation model is employed to analyze data collected from questionnaire survey with 402 valid samples of Chinese citrus growers. reveals that (1) have significant effect on CFRBs; (2) injunctive are partial mediator relationship between incentive-based (3) networks play positive in (4) large-scale CFRBs more susceptible impact than small-scale farmers. The result this provides scientific foundation for agricultural sector develop policies combat soil pollution agriculture.
